On November 22nd 2014, the life of Eriko Katayama has forever changed.
I not only won four special awards, but also ended up winning the prestigious title of Miss Asia USA.
I worked so hard to be a deserving title holder, and I’m so glad that my hard work paid off in the end.
I cannot say thank you enough to amazing people whose been nothing but loving and supportive for me to achieve my dream!
Arrived at the venue a little early for red carpet appearance.
And my lovely sister queen arrived from Utah! It’s always good to see her 🙂
I was actually very sick this day, but managed to finish everything with grace! haha
With the judges of Miss Asia USA 2016.
With my baby sister queen Nicole.
This beautiful young lady is so amazing and such a great role model for many Asian American youth.
She is determined, hard working, and has a great support team!
I’m so excited for your bright future Nicole.
I love you!
Time for my farewell walk as Miss Asia USA 2015.
It was an emotional moment for me since all I could think about was my mom and dad.
My mother and I went through hell and back after my father passed away, but today, we established a real estate investment and development company together. I’m so proud of our accomplishment and can’t wait to be a better daughter for her.
As I’m pursuing another degree this year and planning on opening a new business, It will be a hectic year for me, but I’m sure whatever I’m going to do will make my father proud of me in heaven.
Time to call my sister queens out to the stage!
I love these two beautiful ladies so much and my journey as Miss Asia USA was so much fun when I’m with them.
Let’s continue our sisterhood and friendship.
Love my Latina sister queens so much! It was a great year with an amazing team.
And Ashley, who is also half-Korean representing Korea won the title Miss Asia USA 2016.
I’m so proud of her!
And just like that,
My time as Miss Asia USA 2015 ended.
It was an amazing, amazing experience.
Thank you everyone.
